In this workshop we are going to do a deep dive into the two fundamental concepts in Vue: reactivity and rendering. We will explore how Vue detects and reacts to changes, and how Vue compiles your templates into virtual DOM render functions. Based on this knowledge, we will then discuss how to unlock the full potential of Vue with advanced component patterns.Register Now

This workshop is designed to help attendees get better acquainted with both Vue.js and NativeScript-Vue, an implementation that lets developers write native mobile apps using Vue. 3/4 of a workshop day is spent on the web, and 1/4 on mobile. We will build a fully-functional single-page application with routing, API calls and state management. Web part will be done via CodeSandbox and mobile part will use NativeScript playground.
At the end of the workshop attendees will be familiar with core principles of Vue application. They will be able to work with single-file components, vue-router, API calls with axios, state management with Vuex and basic form validation. Mobile part will demonstrate how to build native mobile application using NativeScript-Vue

Testing is an important part of the development process, but it can be difficult to find resources on how to test large applications. In this workshop, you will learn testing by writing tests for a real-world Vue application. The application will be made with Vue, Vue Router, and Vuex. The workshop will cover unit tests, snapshot tests, and end-to-end tests. We’ll use Jest to write unit tests and snapshot tests, and the http://cypress.io framework for the end-to-end tests.Register Now
Universal applications are trending for good reasons. They provide great performances, UX, SEO and also PWA capabilities. This workshop will teach you how to create a universal application with Nuxt.js from scratch to deploying it. It will cover: Understanding Nuxt.js concepts, SSR best practices & caveats, Routing, HTTP requests with axios to an external API (with proxying), Handling sessions with JWT, How Nuxt modules & plugins works and how to author one, Adding PWA and notifications Deployment **The creators of Nuxt.js themselves Alexandre and Sébastien Chopin (*aka The Nuxt brothers*) will be holding the workshop.**
In this workshop we will see proven patterns for building reusable components for applications. We will do so by rebuilding some existing published components as well as some app specific ones. Some topics we will cover in depth are scoped slots, renderless components and context based components.
